Hike the Ice Age Trail

Did you know that Wisconsin has a 1,200-mile National Scenic Trail? Join us to hike a section of the trail that winds through the Baraboo area with Ice Age Trail guides. Registration is free, but a State Park vehicle sticker is required for parking. You may purchase a sticker at the Devil’s Lake State Park entrance or online. To register for a hike, please email the Baraboo Hills Heritage Chapter. Please specify which hike you would like to register for in your email.

Thursday, November 9 at 1 p.m. Before the Great Midwest Crane Fest kicks off, join an Ice Age Trail guide in hiking a 3.7-mile section of beautiful prairie with views of a glacial terminal moraine.

Saturday, November 11 at 1 p.m.
As the Great Midwest Crane Fest winds down, join us in hiking the West Bluff of Devil’s Lake State Park with a park naturalist who will talk about the geology and history of the area. This is a 2.5-mile hike with an elevation gain of 500 feet.
